LA HUELLA DE ADARAS

La Huella de Adaras was our first wine and, over time, remains one of our greatest values. We seek to express the full potential of the area and once the finished product, to identify its origin.

General Information

Viticulture: Rational, without the use of synthetic chemicals.
Age and altitude Vineyard: Vineyards of twenty years old, 850 meters above sea level.
Driving System: Training vessel.
Soil: Clay, finding depth in limestone strata.
Grapes: Garnacha Tintorera & Monastrell.
Yeld: 30 hl/ ha.
Total production: 100.000 bottles of 750 ml. Fermented: Only indigenous yeast are used.
Maceration: Around 20 days. This wine has remained in steel and concrete tank. French oak barrel for a year, and was bottled with a soft filtration.

TASTING NOTE

Cherry red in colour with violet streaks and a very dark robe. In the nose it is potent with an explosion of fresh red fruit and smoky, mineral overtones. With time, it develops riper fruit aromas in addition to Mediterranean undergrowth, spices and black berries. In the mouth it is initially attractive, giving way to well developed tannins, clear acidity and tasty fruitness. It has hints of black liquorice, with illustrates the personality of the Almansa terroir.
